Unfortunately, Richard & Kahlan spend most of this episode apart.
While Kahlan is performing some Confessor duties, Richard goes off to hunt, but then finds out that his birthplace, Brennidon is near by and decides to go visit.
Richard saves a woman from being killed meets his "mother" and "brother"; While Kahlan learns Zedd's big secret. Then Richard's "brother" betrays him and turns him in and Richard is scheduled to be executed.
Richard is too trusting. Then again, I guess that's a part of why he is who he is.
But, of course, Kahlan and Zedd come to the rescue just in time.
The whole town of Brennidon winds up joining in Richard's fight, even his "brother."
Richard finds out his so called "mother" lied and isnt really his mother. Kahlan is distressed because she has to keep Zedd's secret- that he's actually Richard's grandfather, like, omg.
Poor Richard he thought he really did find he family just to get his hopes crushed.
