Episode 13: Revenant

Richard is reading to Kahlan & Zedd about the last Seeker, Kieran (apparently they totally have time to do this cause you know, hiding the Box of Orden, isnt like super important. LOL.)
BTW, this is the book that douche Gryff gave to Richard after stealing his identity and then all was well. I'm sorry, but seriously, Gryff was a douche. But thanks for the book, I guess!

As you can expect, Kieran's story's pretty interesting and heartbreaking. And that's just the fake one in the book!
Anyways, the story in the book is that Kieran and his Confessor, Viviane, fulfilled their destiny and died in eachother's arms.
Their wizard was Ioalus, I mean, Amfortas, and he witnessed their deaths.


The similarities don't go unnoticed by R&K. I, for one, am very intrigued in this whole Seeker/Confessor bond deal. Are all Seekers & Confessors meant to be together/fall in love? Were there any Seekers before Kieran? This show could do a lot with its backstories.

Richard & Kahlan share a small smile thinking if they die, at least they could die together, just like Kieran & Viviane. You know, it's very tragic that R&K have kind of already accepted that they could very well die, but find comfort in the fact that they'll be together. Sigh.


It's too bad they couldn't have lived to see the world they'd saved.
But they died knowing they fulfilled their destiny...and...least they died together.




Prophecy says I will defeat Rahl. It doesn't say what will happen to us.
Aww, Richard, it's okay. You two will totally defeat Rahl, get married and have lots of babies.



So the trio arrive at the Cave of Sexual Possession and go to hide the Box in Kieran's tomb, but omg, it's empty. They start encountering some supernatural stuff and instead of hauling ass, they stay. Mostly on Richard's insistance, who btw totally reverted to bratty Richard and was ignoring Zedd, who let's face it, was making a lot of sense about them not messing with this stuff. Surprisingly, Kahlan also seemed to really want to stay and reunite Kieran & Viviane. I think both she and Richard saw themselves and their situation and were taken by that.
Ultimately, I'm glad they stayed in the cave cause we got the awesome makeout.
And wow, that was a long digression.





They encounter, Viviane, the ghost. And of course they follow her, cause ghosts always lead to good things!





Richard's all "We have to unbind Kieran and give him the proper burial" and Zedd is very skeptical but agrees to do it anyways. Zedd is always saying he's going to do what he has to to protect the mission but he has such a soft spot for R&K, especially Richard. I'm guessing since that's his actual grandson.



Um, yeah, so Richard gets possessed by Kieran. Also, where did Zedd get all those candles for the ceremony? There were like a bajillion of em. I guess if he can make a Mord Sith outfit for Kahlan, he can make a bunch of candles appear.




Kieran knocks Zedd out of the tomb area and Kahlan is stuck alone with him. Very convenient, lol.
BTW Craig Horner was quite good as an "evil" version of himself. Kinda unintentionally hot.

He didn't understand the bond between Confessor and Seeker.
We do, Kieran! We do!




Kieran tells Kahlan that Amfortas wanted to send Viviane away but instead he and Viviane wound up doing it. Hence Kieran became "confessed"- though IMO, I dont think he was necessarily. I think Amfortas was just really paranoid and made things worse. R&K are pretty lucky they have Zedd. Not only does he conveniently leave them alone all the time, but I think he'd handle their situation a lot better than Amfortas.



So Kieran stops reminicing and goes all "evil" and tells Kahlan he's totally going to give Viviane her body so they can have more sex. Okay so he doesnt say that, but come on, that's like the first thing these two wanted to do.



Kahlan tries to threaten him, but Kieran realizes he has the upper hand when he sees that Kahlan would never do harm to Richard's hot bod.





Amfortas' spirit reveals to Zedd what really happened to Kieran and Viviane. Amfortas convinced Viviane to kill herself and Kieran went crazy with rage. Amfortas had to decapitate him. Very woah.



Kieran performs a spell and brings Viviane back to possess Kahlan, which she totally does.





The happy, yet very tragic couple is reunited.



Finally, what the wizard stole from us is ours forever.






Viviane is more sensible (at first, lol) and wants to stop and give Richard & Kahlan back their bodies but even she eventually's like "screw them, lets have sex!"

But this Confessor, this Seeker- they have a destiny too.
A destiny that is destroying them just as it did us. They love eachother. I know you can feel it. This will be a way for them to be together too.










So, um, these scenes were HOT. They have reeeeally good chemistry. Let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if these two were together in real life. Bridget Regan even kept biting her lip, which means she was totally turned on, lol.









So there's been some debate about whether anything was, you know, inserted. I totally thought they did something cause of facial expressions/actions but then Richard always had his pants on. Whatever happened, something was going on down there, lol.




So guess what?Amfortas' spirit conveniently leaves and Zedd is able to open the crypt of impending sex's door and totally interrupts the hot making out/possible sexing session. But I guess that's ultimately a good thing since we want our Richard & Kahlan back, the real ones :) But the making out was HOT. Also, that last cap above? Woah, I didnt realize Kahlan/Viviane was about to pop out of her corset.




Zedd threatens to kill Kahlan and bind Vivian's spirit so that she and Kieran will not be able to be together. Only then does Kieran give up and leaves Richard's body. Zedd allows Viviane to follow and the two will finally be reunited in the underworld. Awww.
Okay, so I feel bad for Kieran & Vivian, but they were kinda evil, lol. They were totally going to take R&K 's bodies. Still, I forgive them. I forgive them because they gave us HOT making out.





Obviously we can't leave the box in this cursed place.
Can I just tell you how I kinda loved how Zedd was so exasperated with the situation he didn't even bother to help R&K up? LOL. He was probably thinking "these damn kids- getting possessed and almost having sex"



The trio is traveling along when they realize Darken Rahl is tracking them and the Box of Orden. Zedd says he is going away to hide it in a secret place and that he'll meet up with them when he's done. Dude, they don't even set a meeting place. LOL, I love the craziness of this show.
Also, thanks Zedd for leaving these two alone again :) Though he tells them to "be careful" which totally means "please don't have sex while I'm gone"




I don't like it when Zedd goes off by himself.
Oh, Richard, I think you do. At least I know I do! Cause that means more alone time and more flirting :)



He was just doing what he had to- to keep us from becoming like Viviane and Kieran.
That wont happen.
They probably thought the same thing, and in that moment of weakness, they lost everything.
Yeah, well we're stronger than they were.
I hope you're right.
Love isn't something to fear, Kahlan.
For me it is.
Awwwww. Also, Kahlan's hair looks gorrrrgeous in that last shot. I want it!



So next week, R&K travel back to Richard's hometown of Hartland where they'll encounter Chase (yaaay) and Anna (BOOOOOO). What's Anna randomly doing back? I dont know, but she'll probably mess with R&K and I don't like it.
Also, Kahlan seems really depressed and she'll probably tell Richard to just be with Anna because he can. He better be like "Anna??? NO WAY"
